The projects under the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Programme were presented at an Info day

The Vice Regional Governor of Vidin Region Mrs. Elka Georgieva participated in an Info day where the projects implemented under the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 were presented. Mrs. Elka Georgieva thanked to the organizers for the given honour to participate in an Info day of one of the most popular and active cross-border cooperation programmes. “The eligible region of the programme includes more than 5 million people, i.e. a very serious number of people interested to live together, to associate and join hands in this European region. Together we are showing that Bulgaria and Romania can be united worthy members of Europe.” said the Vice Regional Governor in her speech of welcome. 
Mrs. Elka Georgieva emphasized that Regional Administration Vidin is deeply interested in the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme and this is visible from the three project proposals ready to be submitted. 
Mr. Svetoslav Kyosev, Head of Unit “Information and Publicity” presented the three priority axes of the Programme - Accessibility, Environment and Economic and Social Development. 
At the Info Day the official guests were acquainted with the project “Danube Velo Route” implemented with the partnership of the Agency for Regional Development and Business Center – Vidin, the Romanian Association for Industrial Electronics and Software – branch Oltenia, and the Local Council for small and medium enterprises – Kalafat.
