Functional tests of the National early warning and notification system

The training will be held on October 1st, 2025, at 11:00 by activating acoustic signals

On October 1st, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., a test of the National early warning and notification system (NEWNS) will be held by activating acoustic signals.

The purpose of the training is to regularly check the technical condition of the System, to acquire skills from officials for effective work with the NEWNS, as well as to train the population to recognize the signals emitted by siren devices.

The system will be activated from the workstations in the National operations center and in the Operations centers of the regional cities: Burgas, Varna, Kardzhali, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Ruse, Smolyan, Sofia, Vratsa, Stara Zagora, Vidin, Pernik and Yambol, in accordance with the approved plan.

The Regional governor of Vidin Ani Arutyunyan calls on citizens to remain calm during the exercise.
