Representatives from Regional administration Vidin will take part in the Fifth partner meeting on project “TRANSDANUBE – Sustainable Transport and Tourism along the Danube” which will take place in Tulcea, Romania from May 14-15, 2014.
The meeting is organized by The National Institute of Research and Development in Tourism – Bucharest, Romania. The workshop will begin with meeting of the Project Steering Committee where will be discussed the current status of the project implementation. On the thematic workshops will be discussed the tourist packages and soft mobility offers for the Danube region, developed by the project partners. Another main aspect of the meeting is the presentation of the Regional marketing strategies for soft mobility in the Danube region and the Interactive map as main products developed under the project.
During the two-day forum will be discussed concrete steps to guarantee the sustainability of the implemented under the project activities as well as the opportunities for future projects.
TRANSDANUBE aims to develop the sustainable mobility along the Danube through the promotion of alternative models of transport – train, bus, bicycle and ship and to spread the concept for sustainable development of tourism in the Danube region. The project is financed by the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme and there are 14 financing partners from 6 countries and more than 35 strategic partners and observers. TRANSDANUBE contributes to achieving the objectives of the European polices and strategies and particularly the implementation of the European Strategy for the Danube region.
