A sensory integration and occupational therapy hall was opened during the event
The Regional governor Ognyan Asenov attended the celebration on the occasion of 20 years since the establishment of the RCSIEP - Vidin. "Inclusive education is not just an educational policy, but a value based on equality, respect and acceptance. It is our duty to create conditions for the successful inclusion of children with complex communication needs through various complementary and alternative means of communication. Let us continue to join forces in the name of a more accessible educational environment, because children are the care, responsibility and future of our entire society," said the Regional governor and delivered a congratulatory address to the director of the center Asya Petrova. He expressed gratitude to the specialists, teachers, parents and partners for their dedicated work and their contribution to creating a supportive and stimulating environment for the development of children and students with special educational needs.
During the event, a blessing of water for health and well-being was performed by His High eminence metropolitan Pachomius of Vidin.
Part of the festive program was also the exhibition "Tomorrow begins from today" and the awarding of the winners from Vidin kindergartens and schools, as well as the holding of a regional conference "Development of inclusive education: 20 years later", dedicated to the achieved results, challenges and prospects for inclusive education.
The anniversary brought together state, local and religious authorities, educational institutions, representatives of the RCSIEP from the country, social partners, parents and like-minded people, who testified to their support for the mission of the center and the development of inclusive education in the Vidin region.
The festive mood was enhanced by the performances of the majorette group of SS "Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodyi". Graduates of the "Zornitsa" KG in Vidin also participated with a musical program, dances and poems.
