The Regional Governor Plamen Stefanov and Vice Governor Lyubomir Nizamov participate in a conference under the project "Transnational strategy for sustainable territorial development of the area along the Danube River"

The Regional Governor of Vidin Region Mr. Plamen Stefanov and the Vice Governor Mr. Lyubomir Nizamov participate in a conference under project \"Transnational strategy for sustainable territorial development of the area along the Danube River-focused on tourism\" under the Operational Programme for Transnational Cooperation in Southeastern Europe. The event is organized by the Bulgarian Economic Forum on 24th and 25th November. 

Mr. Stefanov will deliver a welcoming speech to the conference \"Building a network for cooperation,\" which will be held in Sofia on 25th November. The conference is to promote the project achievements and results, which are aimed at strengthening the economic and social development of the Danube Region, and to focus on successful collaborations, initiatives and best practices in the region, to discuss the necessity and possibility of establishing an International Association of the municipalities along the Danube River and a management system of the tourist destination. 

The Vice Regional Governor will present the opportunities for tourism development along the Danube River at the conference \"Development of tourism in the Danube Region\", which will be held today in Sofia at 14.30 o’clock. The conference is to focus on the importance of the Danube River to the economic development of Europe, and promote the Danube strategy and best practices focused on the development of tourism in the region. 
Partners in the project \"Transnational strategy for sustainable territorial development of the area along the Danube-focused on tourism\" are 16 organizations from 6 Danube countries - Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania.
