The Regional governor held a work meeting with representatives of UNICEF for Bulgaria and the Institute for social activities and practices

Mrs. Ani Arutyunyan welcomed today in her office Mrs. Christina de Bruin - UNICEF representative for Bulgaria, the legal expert on prevention of violence among children Mr. Lyubomir Krilchev, Mrs. Zvezditsa Peneva - Kovacheva - executive director and director " Center for professional training" at the Institute of social activities and practices and Prof. Neli Petrova - Dimitrova - chairman of the board of directors of ISAP.

Main topic of the conversation was the adopted National map of social services, and in particular the National map of social and integrated health and social services, which are financed in whole or in part from the state budget. Other possibilities for mobile provision of part of the social services in Vidin region in view of the demographic situation in the country were commented on, as well as working mechanisms for including more users in them, as well as improving the efficiency of work in the social sphere.

The Regional governor has made a commitment to meetings with experts at RDSА-Vidin, at which opportunities for signing an agreement between municipalities for the provision of services at а regional level will be considered.

At the end of the visit in Regional administration Vidin, the attendees exchanged good ideas and practices regarding the policy of the children's fund of UN in the country and declared their readiness to cooperate in the future to provide social services in the community for children at risk and their families, by providing them professional support and security.

During their visit to Vidin, the guests got to know up close the work of the Complex for social services for children and families - a pilot initiative for the town, which was launched in 2011.
