Together with the director of the police in the town, Senior commissioner Petar Kotsin, Mrs. Ani Arutyunyan symbolically cut the ribbon of the new acquisition - a 25-meter indoor shooting range, which is located at the base of the Regional directorate in the Western industrial zone and has been renovated with earmarked capital funds from the budget of the Ministry of internal affairs for 2024. The Regional governor congratulated the leadership of the Vidin police for the efforts with which they implemented the training center, given the difficult administrative procedures. "I am convinced that here all of you - the employees of the territorial structures of the MIA in Vidin region, will be able to maintain and upgrade your professional training in order to continue to responsibly fulfill your personal and professional duty in the service of society," said Mrs. Arutyunyan and observed the first shot from 25 meters with an accurate sight by the police inspector and shooting instructor Petya Borisova.
The opening of the indoor shooting range, which has four shooting corridors for short-barreled and smooth-bore weapons, was attended by the Region prosecutor Vanya Nenkova, the Secretary of the Vidin municipality Emilian Enchev, municipal employees, as well as law enforcement agencies.
The guests were shown a demonstration of the skills of the one-year-old Chase - the youngest of a total of 6 professionally trained police dogs in the RDIA - Vidin.
