The Fourth partner meeting on project TRANSDANUBE ended in Veszprem, Hungary

The Fourth partner meeting on project “TRANSDANUBE – Sustainable Transport and Tourism along the Danube” ended. The meeting was held from February 12- 13, 2014 in the Hungarian city Veszprem and was attended by representatives of all 14 financial partners included in the project. 

The meeting was attended by members of Regional administration Vidin’ project management team. The members of the team actively joined the organized sessions related with information exchange in the field of tourism, tourism packages and proposals for sustainable transport. The project partners exchanged ideas for indicative activities that ensure sustainability of the project and future related initiatives. 

On the Fourth partner meeting was presented detailed information about the transnational and regional marketing strategies that should be developed in the framework of the project. 
During the two-day meeting was reached an agreement between the project partners for the next partner meeting to be held from May 12-17, 2014 in Tulcea, Romania. This is also the period where all partners should be finished with their regional tourist packages and to be ready to finalize the regional marketing strategies. 

TRANSDANUBE aims to develop the sustainable mobility along the Danube through the promotion of alternative models of transport – train, bus, bicycle and ship and to spread the concept for sustainable development of tourism in the Danube region. The project is financed by the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme and there are 14 financing partners from 6 countries and more than 35 strategic partners and observers. 

TRANSDANUBE contributes to achieving the objectives of the European polices and strategies and particularly the implementation of the European Strategy for the Danube region. 

In the framework of the project TRANSDANUBE will be developed Regional action plans, sustainable transport offers, soft mobility tourist packages, Digital map providing information for existing mobility and tourist offers and development of Regional marketing plans and specific activities. The project implementation will continue until September 2014.
