Today, October 2nd, 2025, a meeting was held in Vidin on the topic: "Problems with Bulgarian children and their families who live or travel abroad". It was attended by representatives of the directorate "Policies and programs for the child, strategic development and coordination" at the SACP, experts in institutions, social workers, health mediators and non-governmental organizations from Vidin region.
The Deputy regional governor of Vidin, Mrs. Irena Nikolova, emphasized the need to guarantee human rights for better support for Bulgarian children and their families outside the country, in the context of global mobility and migration processes.
During the meeting, the hosts gave examples of Bulgarian families who fall under the jurisdiction or have been the subject of measures and actions by social and judicial authorities from foreign countries.
