The Deputy regional governor of Vidin region was a guest at the opening of the tourist season in Belogradchik municipality

The celebration began at the central square "Vazrazhdane" on Saturday with a solemn water blessing, officiated by the Vicar of the Bishop of the Belogradchisk Spiritual District, His Eminence Father Raphael. Mrs. Arutyunyan congratulated the municipal leadership for its efforts to change the appearance of the town of the rocks, as well as the nearby local attractions, turning them into preferred destinations where tourists plan to return again. The Deputy regional governor expressed hope that the new tourist season will be successful, noting that more than 64,000 tourists visited Vidin region in 2023. "The advantages and strategic location of our region create prerequisites for unlocking opportunities that contribute to economic growth. Proof of this is the private investor interest shown in the town of Belogradchik. We are proud of the good positions of the Vidin region, which is becoming an attractive destination that has found its rightful place on the European map," said Mrs. Arutyunyan in her welcome.

Among the official guests were also Rositsa Kirova - Deputy chairman of the 49th National Assembly, the mayors of Chuprene and Ruzhintsi municipalities Mariya Todorova and Alexander Alexandrov.

For the good mood of the residents and guests of the town of Belogradchik, a dance and music program was presented with performances by the vocal-instrumental group "Charovni godini" at the CC "Razvitie - 1893", Children's complex - Belogradchik, etc.

During yesterday, in the town under the rocks, a bicycle trip to the village of Borovitsa, walking tours, flights and balloon ascensions over the "Panairishte" locality, family and children's creative workshops were organized, and culinary lovers tasted local feasts. The attraction of the fina,l turned out to be the mummer's games of the Survakar group from the village of Sirishtnik, Pernik region. The celebration ended with people and city-wide merriment in the square.
