The Deputy regional governor of Vidin region Prolet Georgieva-Nikolova was among the official guests at the opening of the exhibition “Food and drinks of the Bulgarians – from oriental cuisine to the canteen” at the State archive.
In her welcome address, she emphasized the importance of the exhibition as a valuable insight into the lifestyle, cultural influences, social habits, economic processes and challenges of each era. “Food reflects the spirit of the times – from local traditions and the family table to the social changes that have left their mark on the everyday lives of Bulgarians,” said the Deputy regional governor.
During the event, the awards "Donor", "Reader" and "Friend of the State archive - Vidin" for 2025 were presented.
The exhibition, including over 130 unique photographs, is arranged in the exhibition hall of the archive in the city and will be open to visitors until the end of June.
