Regional administration Vidin will hold two seminars on project TRANSDANUBE - „Sustainable Transport and Tourism along Danube”

On April 29 and 30, 2014, Regional administration Vidin will hold two seminars on project TRANSDANUBE - „Sustainable Transport and Tourism along Danube”. 

On the seminars will be presented products developed in the framework of the project – Regional Marketing Strategy for Vidin region, Interactive map, Sustainable transport offers and tourist packages. During the working sessions will be discussed the presented products and will be held training on sustainable transport and tourism opportunities. 

On the forthcoming seminars are invited stakeholders from public institutions, municipalities, schools, companies and NGOs working in tourism and transport sectors. 
The developed Regional Marketing Strategy aims to contribute in combining efforts of public and private sectors in the region for development of tourism and transport as strategic regional branches on regional level. The strategy defines specific marketing activities and measures to stimulate private and nongovernmental sectors for the development of Vidin region as an attractive sustainable transport providing tourist destination. In the strategy are identified key markets for tourism products: Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and other countries along the Danube which are essential for the development of destination Vidin. 

TRANSDANUBE – Sustainable transport and tourism along the Danube region aims to develop the sustainable mobility along the Danube through the promotion of alternative models of transport – train, bus, bicycle and ship and the sustainable development of the tourism along the Danube region. TRANSDANUBE is international project and there are participating 14 financial partners from 6 countries and more than 35 strategic partners and observers. TRANSDANUBE is financed by the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme and contributes to achieving the objectives of the European polices and strategies and particularly the implementation of the European Strategy for the Danube region. 

The seminars will be held on April 29 and 30, 2014 from 10:00 o’clock in restaurant “Fresh”. On April 29 the seminar is open for companies and organizations working in the field of transport and on April 30 – with stakeholders from tourism sector.
