Regional administration Vidin and Ortenau region, Germany, build on their bilateral relations in the social sphere, tourism and business

Within the framework of the visit, the foreign delegation, which included Eric Weide - mayor of the municipality of Friesenheim, Julia Mrugala - cross-border cooperation officer, Petya Zasheva - Regional development agency, Julia Roth-Hermann, Martin Teufel and Philipp Saar - members of the Vidin committee, hosted by the Regional governor of Vidin, Mrs. Ani Arutyunyan, visited the "Nikola Yonkov Vaptsarov" SS in the village of Drenovets, Ruzhintsi municipality.

The last day of the visit continued in the municipalities of Belogradchik and Chuprene, where the Regional governor of Vidin, Mrs. Arutyunyan, and the Regional governor of Ortenau district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Mr. Erni discussed the potential of the region for attracting investments, as well as the opportunities for implementing joint projects. Emphasis was placed on improving the business environment and increasing the tourism capacity through the development and implementation of new tourism products.

Later, at the Borovitsa winery, the delegation got acquainted with the production processes of technological wines from the Vidin region, by tasting selected vintages. Opportunities for close cooperation in the export of high-quality Bulgarian wines were discussed. The members of the delegation expressed their admiration for the professionalism and dedication of the team, as well as the quality of the wines, which represent not only local, but also national pride.

The visit strengthened the long-standing relations between the Vidin and Ortenau regions and ended with a promise for more future joint initiatives. The participants expressed satisfaction with the fruitful meetings, as well as the opportunities for developing cross-border projects - with the assurance that both sides will work as a priority to achieve the set goals.
