Ani Arutyunyan is appointed Deputy regional governor of Vidin region by order of the Prime Minister from 19.07.2023 and today she officially took office.
The Regional governor Ivo Atanasov congratulated Ani Arutyunyan on her appointment to the post, wished her success in her new venture and satisfaction with her work. The departments for which the Deputy regional governor will be responsible are health care, social policy, education and science, culture, sports and youth activities, tourism and cross-border cooperation in the context of the Romania-Bulgaria and Bulgaria-Serbia programs.
"Together with my colleagues and the Regional administration's team, I will focus on the development and implementation of projects aimed at improving the infrastructure, healthcare, education and economic development of the district," said Ani Arutyunyan. She underlined that she will make every effort and knowledge to improve communication between the residents of Vidin region and the central government.
Arutyunyan grew up in Vidin, where she graduated from "Tsar Simeon Veliki" secondary school. She has a PhD in Political Science, a master's degree in Political Science, chief expert of programmes and projects at the Center for Research and Educational Projects in the University of National and World Economy, and a part-time lecturer at the Department of Political Science at the University of National and World Economy. She possesses an extensive experience in the development of educational and research projects in the field of entrepreneurship, aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, both nationally and internationally.
Ani Arutyunyan is a mother of 3 children.
