Address by the Regional governor of Vidin region, Ani Arutyunyan, on the occasion of St. Dimitar day

On October the 26th, when the Orthodox church celebrates the great Christian holiday in memory of St. great martyr Dimitar the Thessalonian Miracle worker - Dimitar day, the old throned and majestic Vidin celebrates his spiritual holiday.

Today, we all look optimistically towards the future with the hope that the town will become a better place to live, acquiring an even more attractive appearance for all residents of Vidin, Bulgarian and foreign guests. I believe that the advantages and strategic location make the city an attractive destination and create prerequisites for the unlocking of opportunities that contribute to the economic upswing, and it deservedly takes its key place on the European map.

May the holiday be filled with optimism and faith for brighter and more blessed days! To protect and love Vidin, as we protect and love the people close to us! Let's pray to St. Dimitar - heavenly protector and patron of the city, martyred for the faith of Christ, with his miraculous power to watch over us and our families, giving us wisdom, and as our spiritual guide to guide us in life's affairs!
